The Armed Man - a Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins (1999), one of the composer’s most popular works, reflects on the most war-torn century in human history and looks forward to a more peaceful future.
The work’s music and lyrics draw from many religions and cultures - the Catholic mass, Islamic call to prayer, Hindu Mahabharata, along with words by Rudyard Kipling, John Dryden and Toge Sankichi.
In this unforgettable performance, Willoughby Symphony Choir will be joined by Willoughby Band to perform a special arrangement of The Armed Man for choir and brass band.
