There is nothing else quite like it, It’s the Big Bang expressed in music, and was way ahead of its time!”

1798 saw the Premier of Haydn's Creation in Vienna, there was quite simply nothing like it at the time. it encapsulated life, the universe, the whole world.

The Creation opens with the "Representation of Chaos", darkness, a frightening void, suddenly broken by blinding sunlight, the creation of light. And so the epic musical journey begins.

On 17 Sep, Willoughby Symphony Choir will join the Eastern Sydney Chamber Orchestra & Choir in a performance of Haydn’s The Creation. Peter Ellis makes a welcome return as the Continuo and the performance is under the direction of Omid Moheb Zadeh.
